Sophie Hansen
Advocate, Social Worker, Lecturer

Sophie Hansen (she/her/hers) is an independently licensed social worker (LICSW), graduating from Simmons University with a specialization in Children & Families in 2016. Thanks to her clinical underpinnings, she has built a successful career in Government Relations, advocating for systemic change to mitigate burnout in providers, and increase access for consumers across many settings.

She is currently the Director of Government Relations and External Affairs at Vinfen. On a part-time basis, she works at Boston Children’s Emergency Department and conducts telehealth therapy sessions through Marvin Behavioral Health. She periodically teaches MSW clinical and policy courses.

Her professional passions include behavioral/mental health, racial justice and housing issues. Personally, she enjoys barre fitness, baking, cross stitch and learning new languages. She lives on the north shore with her husband and their cat.
