Sophie Hansen (she/her/hers) graduated from Simmons University with a specialization in Children & Families in 2016. Thanks to her clinical underpinnings, she has built a successful career in Government Relations, advocating for systemic change to mitigate burnout in providers, and increase access for consumers across many settings. 

She is currently the Director of Government Relations and External Affairs at a human services non-profit. On a part-time basis, she works at in a pediatric hospital Emergency Department and conducts telehealth therapy sessions through her private practice. 

Her professional passions include behavioral/mental health, civic engagement, immigration, racial equity and housing issues. Personally, she enjoys barre fitness, reading and learning new languages. She lives on the north shore of Massachusetts with her husband and their cat.
